Just got home from a fantastic night out to celebrate my friend Amanda's birthday. {hi Amanda!} What a way to spend a saturday night in the city... swank bar with some killer tunes. For those of you looking to explore Toronto, hit up The Madison at Spadina & Bloor! I'm off to hop into my soft bed and catch some zzz's....until next time.

it's that time

...to say HAPPY WEEKEND! I'm so happy it's saturday! I started it off right with making a delicious breakfast with the boy. Still sipping the coffee in fact. What are your plans for the weekend? Perhaps a little proper game of tennis or martinis with the ladies? I'm off to a birthday party for my friend Amanda (a designer's blog) tonight, yay! Hope you all have a fabulous one...xo

I wish every week I could go to the beach one day. The sound of the waves and the fresh smell of sea salt does something to your insides...it calms me down. I always miss the beach, I grew up around it and every time I go back I just sit and take it all in! I wish I had this outfit at the beach last week, so cute & girly!

at the speed of...

Greetings! Oh my gosh, I missed all you guys so much. I actually arrived back to the city on tuesday night, but the past few days have just been a whirlwind of catching up on housework, errands, work stuff and just life in general. And it's still going!! Today is mass chaos of running errands. Which I don't usually mind so much, I've always loved running errands, going here and there at a chill pace, but lately every time I add something to my list of things to-do, it seems I subconsciously run run run. (I'm not the only one feeling like that, right Amanda?) Time to slow down and enjoy the scenery and things going on around me! 

Oh, and my trip was so fantastic! I had a blast seeing my family, all my cousins and such. Everyone is so grown up, yet still we manage to have a tun of laughs and memories. Will post pics later today!

I must leave you all xo's as I will be setting off out east as of tomorrow. I am so thrilled to be heading to see my family and to just be together, talk, eat and laugh! The plan is to also be a shutterbug while I am away and capture each special moment. I can't wait to come back and share it all with you! Will miss you all dearly and may your week be filled with joy...

Black has endless possibilities. You can mix it with almost any other colour (yes, even brown) and with the right mix can be classy or edgy, or so many other attitudes in between! Even though I like to keep things light and airy most of the time, there is something that draws me into the black walls of this living room. It seems clean and has that home feeling, but with a twist. LOVE!

Can you believe the weekend is over already? Unfortunately I had to work through half of it, so I savoured every moment of sunday. This wednesday I am leaving for my annual trip to the east coast, but am feeling a bit frizzed out with the to-do list continually growing. How do I keep myself sane? Any suggestion would be welcomed...

Next week I'm headed on my annual trip to the East Coast. (New Brunswick & PEI) I'm an east-coaster at heart and totally can't wait for fresh sea food and the soft colours of the ocean. Every home there is filled with country comforts and love! I am totally digging the fresh mix of blues, greys and creams in these photos, taking cue from elements of the sea.
