{re}think my footprint

So I'm not the person to usually talk about tech stuff. To be honest, I like something that works, is semi-up to date, and looks nice, and that's about it! With that, I was on a search today to find an external hard drive. My computer wouldn't even save anything, it was completely full! I stepped into Best Buy and I got so frazzled. I immediately had to call the boy to see what I wanted. Portable? Desktop? External? I had no idea! But then...it's almost like I heard a choir and spotlights came on. There it was on the shelf in a beautiful green box. Fabrik's {re}drive. It's eco-friendly and energy efficient..AND it looks pretty! It's made from recycled aluminum & bamboo. Too good to be true right? No!! It's gorgeous, matches my decor and the price was very affordable. Score! Happy savings all around.

Today called for rain...and the weather man was right! It's grey and rainy here in the city. On an evening like this I would like nothing better than to curl up with a good book, cup of hot chocolate with coconut rum, or even watch a favourite movie. Or should I dare to run outside and jump into the puddles? Nah, maybe another day!

I first spotted the adorable yellow bag at Glassford Hill Girl, and had to investigate this further. Did they come in other colours or fabrics? YES! They had midnight blue leather and also an adorable black patterned one. How cute are they, for fall paired with a great pencil skirt, leggings and boots!

Happy first day of fall! Even though the last days of warm weather are hanging on slightly, I had the tug to make home made soup last night. Corn & potato chowder it was, and SO delicious! {will post the recipe later!} What are your favourite fall things to do?

Tomorrow is officially the first day of fall and I just can't believe it! Well, that's not entirely true, I went to the market early saturday morning and it was a wee bit chilly, and there was a brisk-ness to the air. So I knew it was coming...I even threw on a scarf this morning and really enjoyed my hot coffee! Seeing this beautiful kitchen actually got me a little into the fall season, with the dark rich colours we always see in the fall wardrobe, and with the elegance of the old-world. Makes me want to don a silk housecoat and pearls!

bonjour weekend

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far! I was busy all morning, filling my belly with yummy breakfast and antique shopping. Of course my goal is to always find something stuffed in the corner where no one looks, and guess what? I found a few super cool things! I will post later this week {boo to forgetting my camera this weekend...} But speaking of super cool things, I have a new favourite blog I wanted to share with you. A fellow Torontonian named Celine {who I most recently found out is taking the letterpress curiosity workshop, which is fabulous} has a blog called Bonjour! It's beautiful! She also has a flickr link that contains some of the cutest, colour filled photos I've ever seen. It's definitely inspiring and I encourage all of you to take a peek, and promise you won't be disappointed. It may even brighten up your weekend?
