looking on the bright side
It's raining. It's been raining for hours now. It was starting to make me sad, but i'm trying to stay positive. I guess this means staying in tonight, getting some reading done, maybe even a glass of wine with dinner to make me feel all cozy inside!

hello sunshine
It is officially summer in the city! Do you ever notice how much happier people are when the sun is shining? All that extra Vitamin D is going straight to their hearts...And even though I am stuck in an office for most of the day, taking an afternoon break outside is the best! Anyone for drinks on the patio?

trying on a new pair of shoes
So recently I have been trying to organize things in my life after coming back from vacation. It's amazing how many things we accumulate and how things can get disorganized in our busy lives. Living in the city has its many many advantages, but one drawback is how consumed we get with..well EVERYTHING around us. That can help & hinder. One thing I want to do is take a look at my blog and make slight changes or add different features. I'm testing out colours and fonts, and content. Your suggestions would be very helpful as well! I would love to hear from all of you. Also, for all of my readers out there that read me on a daily basis, please feel free to be a follower! I am so thankful for all of you that read and feel inspired, that's my main goal! I want my blog to be a 5 minute vacation away from the ordinary. So keep your comments coming..xoxo

gossip boy
Ok, can I just say DAMN! Ed Westwick, the boy all girls LOVE to hate (and secretly dream about) was in the recent issue of GQ. He looks amazing! Close up the photos even look great, you can see every wrinkle and every freckle on that face of his. My favourite is the top photo. He looks stylish, yet laid back, just how I like'em. *swoon...

imagination station
Today I am feeling very creative & crafty and am SO lusting after having a design space or studio to play in. Somewhere with lots of windows and natural light, a big desk and inspiration galore on the walls! Here are some of my favourite spaces that I wish I had. I would love a big wooden desk, a painting area and an open sink to clean all my brushes. Also a computer area filled with bookshelves of magazines and fantastic artwork! Or shelves filled with crazy different paper for stationery, that would be perfection.

rainy days better not stay
But these outfits by Jill Stuart should! It's a bit grey outside but these black, cream and white outfits match perfectly with the sky! Speaking of neutrals, I'm off to a sweet after party tonight for work (after hours, as in it starts at 10 pm!) and am thinking to stay classic and wear black, maybe with a hit of cream and brown in the mix. Good idea?

l'aprés-midi
With vacation just around the corner, I am trying to wind down my week a little bit. This feature from W magazine is just the ticket! The soft florals, the lighting and even the overall vintage feel is the exact look I am feeling for Cuba. I like the idea of a nice siesta in the afternoon wearing a flowy top, tousled beach hair and a teeny bikini underneath!

black blazer chic
I have been looking for the perfect black blazer and finally found the perfect one at H&M yesterday. It fits so well in the shoulders and is such a good length! I can't wait to pair it with a simple grey tank and jeans, OR even better with a ombre tie-dyed tank and gladiator sandals!

friend moment
Well my two days off has almost come to an end. How time flies? Tonight I'm off to a spa date with my friend Amanda (a designer's blog) Just mani's/pedi's, but still, so much fun and a great way to end a few days off! Re-energized just in time for wednesday.
