fresh spring air

The first day of spring has finally arrived! Even though it's grey outside, I had the yearning to don my sunglasses, ballet flats and roll up my distressed pair of skinny jeans a little to show some ankle, just to prove that spring is here! I think I might even stop in at the flower shop on my way home from the office {yes, I had to work today} to brighten up my room where the grey skies are peering in my window. 

OH and spring cleaning must start soon! Time to declutter...

When I am stressed I must think of beautiful things to calm me down. Work all nighters are no fun and make me want to cry. Will it ever end? I need a vacation.

I regret to inform you my dears, but on this monday, I am sick with a cold! Last week was so wonderfully filled with all sorts of fun, that of course afterwards I get sick. That's my excuse for the delay in posts, but I have so much I want to share including two amazing concerts and some stationery photographed for Wedding Bells Magazine. So sit tight and I'll be back soon.

How brilliant is this March issue of Dutch Vogue?! The photo alone is beautiful, but the way they treated the masthead and cover lines is fantastic.. LOVE how that 99 just sits perfectly on the left...

over amazingly designed fonts! This morning while sipping my coffee, I fell in love with how the word "coffee" looked in the font Raniscript at Veer. Oh those beautiful letters..I just wish I had some extra cash to buy all of Veer's new fonts!

P.S. The Muse concert was fantastic last night! Hoping I got a few good shots...stay tuned.

I still seem to be recovering from my night on saturday, what is the deal? My whole body hurts! I'm going to see Muse tonight at the Air Canada Centre, which should be a totally good show, but all I feel like is wearing a comfy set of pj's and settling in for the night. I'm sure once I get there I will be pumped though. Stay tuned for an awesome video teaser of what I may encounter tonight!

Just breathe...I have been in preparation all day for the Snowball tonight. Yes, a real ball with floor length gown and everything! When I first found out I was going, I was in sheer panic, not just because it's a ball, but because shopping for floor length gowns and shoes are a nightmare for a short girl! It must have been my lucky day when I found a perfectly fitting BCBG gown, {no hemming required} and size 5 1/2 killer heels. {what store ever carries that size?!} Just a little makeup and I'm good to go! a layer for every season

One thing I love about spring, is that it's usually necessary to layer your clothing. With the mornings being a little brisk, but afternoons turning sunny and bright, a few light layers are all you need. I am especially loving that slightly slouchy mixed with tailored pieces, like what that beautiful girl is wearing above. What else would be perfect for that? A bunch of Tiffany bracelets stacked up the arm! Only in my dreams...

Though it was still a bit chilly this morning, the sun was shining and I could sense a little bit of spring coming my way. Oh I can't wait to slip on a light jacket and ballet flats while walking to work instead of being all bundled up with big boots and static in my hair...

*Sigh...That's how I feel like starting my post. It has been so busy lately, and I feel absolutely horrible for not being able to post every day, even with so many beautiful things I see day in day out!
