I came across this adorable silk-lined clutch by RedRubyRose and couldn't get it out of my mind. I am such a lover of simple yet classy designs and the red silk on the inside makes it ever-so-girly. RedRubyRose has so many different designs I am sure you will find one to love.

the finer things in life

During my girly weekend away we came across a L'Occitane en Provence shop in The Village at blue. We decided to treat ourself to something yummy. I purchased one of the cute bars of soap in Honeysuckle. Delish! All of their products smell great and are made with pure products.

This weekend I was at Le Scandinave Spa in Collingwood, Ontario. My three girlfriends and I finally got together for a ladies weekend. It all started with a trip to The Village at Blue, complete with a little shopping, dinner and of course, coffee! Sunday was then filled with 6 amazingly beautiful hours at Le Scandinave Spa. We relaxed in the hot saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, hot tubs and cold plunges. We also got to top off our relaxation in the sunrooms with muskoka chairs and magazines of your choice. Definitely a weekend well-deserved and unforgettable.

As of tomorrow I will be spa-ing with my girlfriends! Finally a weekend away. Cheers to having a fantastic weekend!

shaken or stirred?

I have been looking for the perfect mini-bar, and this is at the top of my list! I love how sleek and small it is, and looks oh-so chic. I would really love to find an antique one, with possible gold edging, which would fit perfectly in the spare corner I have in my apartment. Once I find the perfect one, a cocktail hour is in order!

oh bother

I think I might have a case of the winter blues. It has been nice weather since the weekend until today, when it took a turn for the worst and became bitter cold outside! I was just beginning to get happy again with the sun being out and it not being so cold your nose hurts. When it gets this chilly outside I get sad and lose a little energy. So as Winnie the Pooh would say, "oh bother". It'll be a better day tomorrow!

As my previous post mentioned, my friend Amanda & I went to our first Lenka concert. It was at the Drake Hotel in Toronto. I love smaller, intimate rooms where you're close to the band and everyone is enjoying the music, and this was definitely a great one! Here are some tidbits from the show. We also got to meet Lenka after the show, which was pretty cool. Props!

Tonight I went to a concert with my friend Amanda (a designer's blog...hi Amanda!). It was AMAZING!! I will definitely go to sleep happy tonight, and will post pictures tomorrow.

So, with "heart day" coming up, I have been looking for inspirations for my Valentine's cards. Here are a few I pulled from Martha. I have already finished my cards, but you'll have to wait til the big day to see them!

One Spring/Summer staple are my Keds, but of course, only on dry days. I love these clean, white slip-ons! They are definitely a timeless fashion piece that are comfy & practical.

finishing touches

I love a little hit of luxury in an outfit. This weekend I came across an edgy looking zebra print scarf. I have such a collection of scarves already, but I couldn't help but purchase this one. The one above is a reference, but I got mine from Le Chateau. It's a bit longer and more flowy, but I love this short look too, tied in a little knot. It puts the finishing touches on an outfit! (plus adds a little attitude, which can't hurt )
